Five years ago, before I was a business owner, before I ever had a business idea, I was on a business trip for my corporate job.
I had been tasked with attending a medical conference in Washington DC.
One evening, the conference put on a happy hour for all the conference attendees.
I was hanging out with my coworkers when a man approached me.
He told me there was a medium at who had seen me and wanted to speak with me.
At first, we thought it was a very odd pick up line, but I was curious, so I went with him to a woman seated at the bar.
She was a completely normal looking 40-something year old dressed in business casuals.
I asked if she was in attendance as a psychic. She said no, she was there working, but she was a medium and did readings on the side.
"I noticed you over there and I felt really compelled to speak with you," she said.
I was shocked.
"You're going to do great things and help a lot of people."
And then she said the most important thing of all:
"Don't doubt...
Who else is a Self-Help junkie?
I have been hooked since I was young. I was watching an Oprah show after school and it was centered around the topic and I just knew I wanted more.
The idea of "improving myself" like you would make updates to your home (weird analogy? ) was so fascinating to me.
I don't know when I bought my first self-help book was, but I now have a collection of them by my bed.
But for me, self-help isn't limited to that book collection. It shows up all over my life- like my obsessive journaling and my endless quest to be the healthiest I can be.
The one area of self-help I feel I have definitely mastered is meal prep.
This is also the area I have seen THE MOST impact on my life and my clients lives.
When it comes to losing weight, feeling confident, removing temptation, having freedom at meal times, having more time and saving money- learning to meal prep will instantly and seamlessly give you all of them.
It won't take years or months to see change in your life, it...
A client reached out to me the other day.
She said, “my family just does not support my new way of eating. Making this shift is so hard sometimes I don’t know why I am doing it.”
I told her the only support she really needs is her own!
The people in your life probably won't support you making a change at first.
They only know the old you, not the new you!
But you know the new you, you believe in that person and your ability to become that person... And that is what’s really important.
I asked her “what else can you feel in those moments when you see your family not support your new diet?"
How about pride in yourself for making the change that most will never dare to do?
What about self-love because you are doing something awesome for yourself?
What about gratitude for your family that loves you?
Those are all feelings to try on when you are feeling the challenge, when you are feeling down.
You can do this!
I am so proud of you for just getting started.
I...
I spoke with an awesome group of people in a weight loss program the other night.
These people are making HUGE dietary shifts.
Something most of us will talk about, dream about, but never quite stick to.
These people were truly inspiring.
They wanted to know how to make the transition easier, less painful.
They wanted to know how to stick with it for years to come.
I told them this kind of change takes some planning. When we leave decisions food decisions until we are hungry, our brain is not capable of making a conscious decision.
When we're hungry we switch to survival mode, and we will eat the most calorie dense thing we can get our hands on.
We have to make those decisions ahead of time. Make them when we are in a clear-headed place with our end result in mind.
When we can do that, success is inevitable.
And the best way to do that is by meal prepping.
Your week is planned ahead, all your food decisions are made, and that way when you are hungry and tired and you open that fridge...
When it comes to my clients achieving their goals, I hear it all the time...
I'm thinking about it
I'm not sure I want to
I just don't know if I can
I don't know if I have what it takes
It can be hard to believe in yourself.
Especially if you have failed in the past.
You may think you don't have enough willpower.
Or you don't have the right resources.
Or you just don't know if you can afford it.
But you know where all of these come from?
A lack of belief in yourself.
If you believed in yourself, you would know that:
-You don't have to use willpower when you are committed to yourself.
-You have all the resources you need right in front of you.
-You have the money. You do. You just don't believe that you will follow through on your purchase and thus your money will be wasted.

Diets don't work...
Unless you have a plan.
If you want to overhaul how you eat, you're going to need to put some planning in.
When I was in my size 8 pants, I would wake up and think "today will be different," but it wasn't because my fridge was the same, my pantry was the same, my habits had not shifted at all.
To lose the weight, to make a dietary change, you have to plan for it.
What foods will you be eating?
How are you going to get them on your table?
What is for lunch?
What is for dinner?
What are you snacking on?
You need to know this before saying "I am going to make a change,"" will actually result in a change.
I can help you do this, just like I have helped so many others do this.

Good things don’t come easy...
I was sweating my butt off at the gym today, kind of regretting being there, when this thought hit me.
If I want to feel the way I want to feel this summer, I’m probably going to have to go through it. Feel discomfort. Sweat. Skip dessert.
This goes for saving money, getting more free time each week, committing to meal prepping.
The work you put in upfront might not be easy.
You might even need to invest money upfront to get these things...
But if the result is worth it, then the “hard part” isn’t so bad.
I challenge you to do the hard thing today- invest in yourself, sweat, go through the pain.
It’s worth it on the other side.
Join the meal prep course and you will definitely give yourself the gift of time and money on the other side!

This is what I know...
The best diet to follow is the one that works for you while helping you improve your health!
"Do I need to be following Paleo?"
"Is Keto the healthiest?"
"How do I know if I am eating the best diet for me?"
This "diet" is a way of life. It should be flexible to fit with your schedule.
It should serve you in improving your health, feeling good, having energy and looking the way you want to look.
You don't have to follow any diet that anyone else does, simply do what works best for YOU
You have to do what works for you, or nothing will work!
